Craig F Diving, Philippines Overview
My wife and I recently spent a superb week diving with the great folks at Turtle Bay Dive Center on Cebu Island, in the Philippines. I realize that its a long plane ride to get there but you simply must dive the Philippines for the mega-abundance of marine life. And if you choose Cebu Island the ONLY place to stay is Turtle Bay. We were in an Oceanview room 15 steps from the dive center. The food in the restaurant was abundant, varied, and tasty. The service was outstanding and the diving some of the best we've enjoyed anywhere. Turtle Bay is a PADI shop where you can work on various certifications if you wish - this would be the perfect place to earn Drift Diver. The House Reef, a 300-meter swim from shore, is great for night dives - we found 20 sleeping Green Sea Turtles on one night dive. The Sardine Balls, the possibility for Whale Shark, the presence of spectacular fishes of many species and some of the best coral formations you'll ever find make Turtle Bay a one-stop dive center when you go to the Philippines? Would we stay there again? In a nanosecond.
