Learn to Dive Before You Go

If you don't want to spend any of your vacation time learning to dive then you can get fully certified before by going to your local dive center (ask us if you want help finding one). This means you’ll have more time to dive while away! Keep in mind, depending on where you live, you may spend some time in cold water.

Half and Half

An increasingly popular option is to do all of the course and pool work before heading on vacation. You have a few options here as well and we can help you navigate through it. The easiest way is to do your PADI e-learning prior to going on vacation. Then while you’re on vacation, you complete your four checkout dives in open water. This avoids you having to spend any time in a classroom and frees you up so you can enjoy diving!

This can be a fun way to learn and meet new people. You’ll most likely be a part of a small group and you’ll have the same instructor throughout your training. This does take four days to complete which may mean you’ll be spending much of your vacation reading textbook and training at the bottom of a pool. It’s not necessarily a bad thing but not for everyone. Many who choose this option tend to take a longer vacation so they have even more time to enjoy diving.
