Vacations in St. Kitts and Nevis

St. Kitts & Nevis

Sustainable Pleasures and Natural Treasures

St. Kitts & Nevis Overview

St. Kitts and Nevis are the new kids of Caribbean travel. Only recently have these islands traded agricultural roots for a stake in the region's tourism economy—and they did it right. There's no runaway development, as growth follows an encompassing blueprint for sustainable eco-tourism. St. Kitts’ central mountain chain lies within a National Forest Reserve that protects a quarter of the entire island. This lush rain forest is an idyllic setting for hiking, zipline tours and bird watching.  Both islands are ringed by marine reserves, and beach lovers can visit sandy strands in hues ranging from powdery-white to shiny black.

Diving

Venture offshore to explore a submerged plateau where big fish gather. Spiral downward through a hidden crevice into an expansive coral-rimmed amphitheater. Seek out colorful crustaceans hiding among bus-sized boulders. Relax and go with the flow on a shallow reef after swimming through a pair of modern shipwrecks.
