Caradonna Icon Series featuring Georgienne Bradley - PART 2

Date: August 20th at 2PM EST
Speaker: Georgienne Bradley with Sea Save Foundation
About: "Why would anyone hunt and sell endangered species?" We thought the answer to this question was self-evident before we attended our first Conference of International Trade of Endangered Species (CITES) over a decade ago. We quickly learned that the "trade" of these animals was the operative term. Join us as we discuss the structure of this international meeting, how it is decided what threatened and endangered animals are protected, and how these decisions are enforced or circumvented. We will discuss the marine animals we succeeded in protecting including mantas, hammerhead sharks, and many others. We look forward to your participation and will answer your questions and entertain your comments and input.
