Stuart Cove's diving operations sprung from a situation that could never happen the same way again. Hired by the people who worked on the film "For Your Eyes Only", Stuart Cove himself was a stunt and safety diving expert on the set, helping in many of their underwater scenes and excelling, standing out in such a way that only a year later, Stuart Cove's was opened. If that was the end of the story, if Stuart Cove had stuck to his small diving operation, single tank dives where twenty dives in a day was an accomplishment, it would not be as well known, as famous as it is today. That small set up proved successful however, and the dive operation soon developed a well-earned reputation for expertise and quality.
With that reputation came opportunity, and Stuart Cove's also worked on films such as "Never Say Never Again", "Spy Kids", "Pirates of the Caribbean 2&3", and seventeen other films. When directors, producers and cinematographers want the best, they know that they can come to Cove's team to get the finest experts in the business. That's not to say that Stuart Cove's is solely for the film industry though, and their reputation goes beyond making incredible underwater performances.
While the dive operation was founded in 1978, Stuart Cove's would continue to work with many different companies, including working with the Lyford Cay Country Club as manager of diving and other watersports. This allowed Stuart to branch out from purely diving into water-skiing, banana boat rides, and other watersports activities. This expansion of Cove's enterprise, along with his work on his second Bond film, "Never Say Never Again", thrust the man and the company further into the spotlight, and became the way for the first of Cove's dive boats, the "Black Coral", to be purchased.
Stuart Cove's and it's responsibilities grew once more in 1992, when the South Ocean Golf Beach and Dive Resort changed hands and a new dive operator was needed, offering Cove and his company three custom dive boats and an upgrade to the essential air storage system that is key to many dive operations. Along with these impressive complements, a full retail boutique and other equipment set Stuart Cove's diving operation apart from the rest. Armed with knowledge, skill, and the tools to excel, it really is no wonder that the name is known across the globe, famous for its work in retail and film industries.
