Citizen Science With Cat Ppalu

19 January 2024

Bahamas , Bahamas Overview

AllStar Liveaboards and Reef Rescue Network are offering something special. Something that will not only be a blast and a half but will make you feel good deep down in your soul as well. Traveling on the Cat Ppalu is not just a vacation, it is a mission, one taken up to help protect, expand, and help flourish the coral reefs that not only give us divers such joy, but are so very important to local and global ecosystems. We here at Caradonna Adventures want to help connect diving activists with Reef Rescue AllStar, so that they can continue to do the great work that they are doing in the Bahamas.

Currently there are two trips remaining in 2024 that you can be a part of, with each of them being six nights apiece aboard the liveaboard Cat Ppalu. There is limited availability on these Reef Rescue Trips during the weeks of August 10th and October 5th, 2024. Each will be traveling the waters of the Bahamas, visiting both regular diving sites, as well as specialty areas meant to maintain and grow the native coral reef populations. Many of these dive sites are exclusive to liveaboards like the ones that AllStar is offering and cannot be reached by regular diving day trips. This sailing catamaran offers four king-sized beds, alongside four twin beds, two per room, an exclusive journey where you can bring along your family or make great friends to join in this journey.

The Reef Rescue Network, first founded by the Perry Institute for Marine Science, is an organization dedicated to the protection of our marine life on this little blue orb. Working with non-profit and for-profit businesses, Reef Rescue strives to help several areas of marine wildlife and the natural world, including reef conservation, but also assisting with the protection and care of both sea turtles and sharks. Even if you cannot join in maintaining the corals physically, you can still do a lot of good by going to www.reefrescuenetwork.org and supporting this wonderful organization.

Diving is an incredible experience, a way to connect with a part of the world that we so rarely see in person, to join an ecosystem that is both so familiar and yet so alien. This world is vanishing before our very eyes, coral reefs are suffering damage every day, and the rest of the natural world, the rest of the whole world, is suffering for it. AllStar Liveaboards, Reef Rescue Network, and Caradonna Adventures are working together to do something that will not only be fun but will help the environment grow and prosper so that future generations can spend time beneath the waves just like we are able to. So come ride the waves with the Cat Ppalu!
