Galapagos Information

The Galapagos entice divers with big animal thrills and unique marine life encounters. The islands sit at crossroads of nutrient-rich oceanic currents that create an oasis of life in the open ocean. This mixing of waters supports large schools of fish and attracts more than 20 species of sharks and two dozen different types of marine mammals, including migrating whales. Signature Galapagos diving experiences include schooling hammerheads, whale shark encounters and visits from gregarious dolphins. Marine iguanas free dive the shallows in search of a meal while curious sea lions, fur seals and penguins frolic alongside sea turtles and tropical fish. No visit is complete without a land tour to see the world's largest tortoises and view the ecosystems that inspired Darwin's theory of evolution
