Caradonna Adventures has continued its partnership with the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach and the Reef Oasis Dive Club to create special all-inclusive stay-and-dive packages for Grand Bahama Island Dive Week. Now in its fourth year, this event brings together Bahamas Dive Ambassadors, divers and local dive operators for seven days of social events and daily trips to some of the Bahamas' most iconic dive sites.

4TH ANNUAL GRAND BAHAMA DIVE WEEK:
Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach DIVE EVENT PACKAGE includes 7 nights All Inclusive Ocean View Room Accommodations at Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach, 6 days of 2-tank boat dives including 1 dive at Shark Alley with Reef Oasis Dive Bahamas.
Full Board includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks daily unless provided elsewhere during the event. Unlimited beverages, alcohol, cocktails, and wine at Viva, unlimited non-motorized watersports, scheduled activities, nightly entertainment, exclusive check-in/check-out service. Free Wifi in designated areas. All transportation throughout the event including roundtrip airport transfers, unless otherwise noted, hotel taxes and service charges.

Breakfast at leisure » 8:00-8:15 a.m. Meet at Reef Oasis Dive Center » 8:30a.m. Check-in for Customized 2 tank dive Pretender’s Wreck - This upside-down tug sits at an approachable depth for divers of all levels of experience. This forty-five-foot vessel, the Pretender, rests on the sea floor between two heads of coral. Remnants of a yacht are also strewn about this site as well. Stingrays are often seen gliding along the sandy bottom. » 1:00 p.m. Return to host hotel |

Breakfast at leisure » 8:00-8:15 a.m. Meet at Reef Oasis Dive Center » 8:30 a.m. Customized 2 tank dive Papa Doc Wreck - Once a shrimp boat, this doomed craft was transporting mercenaries and firearms to Haiti during the revolution in that country. The wreck’s namesake was the dictator, Papa Doc Duvalier, who was so ruthless that he inspired an uprising. Divers can still salvage ammunition on the sea floor and amongst the coral. This wreck rests in pieces along the shallow reef, with visible engine blocks and machinery still visible at this novice-accessible dive site. » 1:00 p.m. Return to Hotel » 6:30 p.m. Meet in lobby for transfer to Williams Town » 7:00 p.m. Two Dollar Bar, William’s Town - Local rum and beers. This quaint sea view bar has plenty of parking. Sit indoor for music & the company of the friendly staff or on the porch for ocean air. Drinks are poured generously and often. Breakfast at leisure » 8:00-8:15 a.m. Meet at Reef Oasis Dive Center » 8:30 a.m. Customized 2 tank dive Peterson’s Cay Coral Restoration – Dive on a wall 20ft deep filled with marine life due to shallow waters. The Coral reefs here are much more colorful, and the fish are much more active when compared to the regular deep dives. Just south of this reef is an area with 13 trees of PVC with coral shambles attached to them. » 1:00 p.m. Return to Host Hotel » 6:30 p.m. Experience Port Lucaya Marketplace (Optional via Taxi Cab) » 6:45 p.m. The Port Lucaya Marketplace is the largest shopping, dining and entertainment open air facility in the Bahamas, with over forty specialty stores and boutiques, eleven restaurants to tempt any palate and eleven bars/lounge for late night entertainment. The Marketplace boasts of a wide variety of Duty-Free stores, two generously stocked Straw Markets, two Craft Centres and Push Carts filled with Bahamian craft and souvenir items. Very good selection of marine life. The coral travels perpendicular to the shore, growing up to 10 ft. high, with heather coral in this area. » 1:00 p.m. Return to Host Hotel » 6:00 p.m. Meet in lobby for transfer to Smith’s Point » 6:30 p.m. Smith’s Point Fish Fry Experience – A Grand Bahama Favorite; fish fry is an event not to be missed. Enjoy a traditional cookout with fried snapper, lobster, potato bread, conch salad and many more Bahamian dishes. The sharks are four to eight feet and at times can be too numerous to count. The location is near an old Recompression Chamber with coral reef surrounding it.
